imageMerced Ca- The Cheerful Giving Event hosted by local Merced businesses like; The Shop, Headquarters Barber Shop, Cut and Shave Co,Valley Cuts, InShape, Chipotle, Auto Resources amongst others, was a complete success. Maint St was full of smiles and happy faces this morning.image

Merced Residents gathered in the blocked off street collecting free goodies. Some children danced in line-to the dj's hit songs, while waiting to either receive a free gift from a marine, a local business or waiting to take a picture with Santa or simply to enjoyed delicious free food with their parents.image image imageimage

Local Barbers and stylist gathered together and gave free haircuts to dozens of children of all ages.imageChipotle handed out free burritos and chips.image

In addition, to all the free food, free haircuts, free face-painting and free goodies donated from our local businesses, bikes and toys were also donated by residents in the community.

Each bike donated had a note attached letting the lucky winner know the name of the family/ person who helped bring a smile to their face.image

Auto Resources has been part of the Cheerful Giving event donating a free vehicle in the past. This year they raffled gift cards for free . "We're a small business growing and we want to get familiar with our community and giving back is the perfect way to do it" said Chad- manager at Auto Resources.image

Merced Fire Rescue, was also out supporting- giving free candy and stickers to youngsters admiring their big, fully equipped fire truck.image

"It's been a lot of work from all of us, but seeing the community out here makes it all worth it" said Tany Vega- CO- Owner of The Shop.

There were many volunteers and local clubs who came out to support this great event.image

It was another great and successful year for the local businesses participating in the Cheerful Giving event!image image image
