UPDATE: Due to the shooting this evening, the hospital was placed on lock down as a routine lock down when a gang shooting victim is at the hospital. It is precautionary to avoid conflict between rivals who may show up at the hospital. The lock down has been lifted and the hospital is resuming normal business.

MERCED, CA - MCNTV News has received information from viewers that the Mercy Hospital ER has been placed on lock down. We have called the hospital and law enforcement but no will say what is going on leaving family members to speculate and worry. As soon as we can get a statement from the hospital about why and if they are still on lock down we will update this information.
