LOS BANOS, CA - On February 8, 2016 the Los Banos Police Department, with the assistance of the Merced Area Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team, served a search warrant at an apartment in the 40 Block of West I Street. The search warrant was related to three separate local vehicle theft cases, reported between the dates of December 2015 to January 2016. Officer Todd Pricolo was the lead investigating Officer in all three of these auto theft cases.

As Officers were making entry into the apartment, 22-year-old Lorenzo Lemos, of Los Banos, attempted to jump out of the downstairs window and run from the area. Lemos was quickly caught and placed under arrest. Inside of Lemos' apartment, Officers located suspected methamphetamine and other drug related paraphernalia.

Lemos was booked into the Los Banos Police Department Jail pending $65,000.00 bail, charged with three counts of vehicle theft, possession of a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, and three Merced County Superior Court Warrants related to domestic violence and theft charges.

Lemos has also been booked on several other occasions for multiple thefts, drug, and spousal abuse charges since October of 2012.
