TRUCKEE, CA - CAL FIRE mourns the tragic loss of two California emergency responders, CAL FIRE Firefighter Kirstin Snook and CHP Officer Nathan Taylor. Both were killed in separate vehicle accidents in the Truckee area. Officer Taylor was killed while at scene of a vehicle accident on I-80. Seasonal Firefighter Snook was off-duty when she was involved in a multi vehicle accident on Hwy 89. Our deepest condolences to their friends, family, crew, and our partners at the California Highway Patrol.
